This little camera sounds promising as a guide cam. 20 degree cooling, fast downloads, light, Sony chip.

I don't know this camera.
I got a reply from SBIG about the availability of the STi guider. They stated they would be available just after new year so have ordered one. It is a little cheaper than the lodestar and hopefully will work perectly with CCDSoft.

Martin Pugh liked the Sti. I think it would be a good camera.
Ideally I'd like a cooled guider. Perhaps I will just get another ST402 as it is pretty awesome with sensitivity and its cooled that gets rid of the noise.

That titan is a odd shape for a guider. The nose has an M42 thread in it so the body must be about 100mm across.
If they stuck it in a body like the new 420 (http://www.atik-cameras.com/products/info/atik-420) it would be a worth a look. That titan has got biggish pixels in it ...

It looks to be the same case as the superseded 16ic, except for being blue instead of black. The 16ic works as a guider so no reason the Titan woudn't too. It might be a big big for use on an OAG.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it sounds a little awkward physically.
