Hi All,

Imaged Jupiter last night in pretty ordinary seeing for most of the session but did get one reasonable data set.

Thanks for looking.

A nice image, but I'm really waiting to see what that scope is capable of in decent seeing. Will surely be a treat to see when it finally happens.

Very Nice Trevor,

If I may, what does the P stand for? should that be a W?

Cheers

Thanks very much Rob, yep, it always seems to be just a little either side of ordinary and that will eventually change and I am sure we all look forward to that.

Thanks very much Ivan, I concur and certainly look forward to that day with great anticipation.

Thanks very much Graeme.

Thanks very much Chris. The P stands for Preceding, the opposite limb would be F for following. Due to the various configurations of the image provided by the different telescope designs East and West become a bit of a problem. It is less ambiguous to use P or F especially for the researchers that receive and use the data from various amateurs captured with different types of telescopes.

Thanks very much Ray.

Seeing hasnt been the best I would have thought that this time of year would have been more stable. Im still waiting to get the wow factor visually. Apart from that nice pic thanks

Have you done something bad that's keeping the good seeing away? You know we are all on the edge of our keyboards just waiting for you to get that first really good night.

A very nice image, thanks for the view.
