Hi,

I recently damaged the pinion gear for a stepper motor that came with the mclennan gearboxes and am looking at replacing it, but how do I identify the pitch?
I went to an RC hobby shop and they had similar pinions but not the same size.
i'm sure smallparts would have these but not sure how to narrow it down.
this was the gearbox/motor combo.

Thanks

I'm guessing this method will be close enough

"Measure the diameter of the gear across the peaks of the teeth. Measure the diameter from valley to valley. Take the average of these two numbers - it will be close enough to the "pitch diameter" for our purposes. Count the number of teeth and divide by the "pitch diameter". Round to the nearest whole digit and you'll have the pitch"
