Seeing was a little above average this morning, with moments of good seeing, but as they say the blue channel tells the story. There is plenty to see on the disk though and I am grateful for the small mercies that the weather provides at the moment. I spent a great deal of time on the collimation as the trip from Broken Hill had disturb the previous collimation attempt.

Very nice image Paul. Some good detail there, and obviously carefully processed. Thanks for showing.

Thanks for the lovely view of Jupiter, Paul.
In terms of image scale, the image you posted has the disc of Jupiter at just over twice the width of a trial Jupiter image I recorded when imaging the Moon for the Plato/Imbrium mosaic. At your image scale, with good seeing, you should be able to resolve features down to around 1km on the Moon. Well worth waiting for!:)
Cheers

Thanks guys for the comments.
Wow I reckon I would need the PME for a mosaic at that scale. Something to think about. My first plan is to do first quarter at native resolution with the DMK41. A much longer term goal is to do something similar to what you have described here Dennis. That would take weeks of processing but well worth it. :)
