Hello,

From my imaging sessions of 4th, 5th and 7th November 2011, I have now put together a set of three mosaics. During those sessions, I was in “cruise and enjoy” mode so it wasn’t until I saw the finished individual panes that the potential of the mosaics dawned. Unfortunately, on one of the mosaics, I missed a teeny weensy slice where the overlap didn’t quite stretch enough!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did; viewing the lunar surface under moments of excellent seeing is quite enthralling.

Amazing! The Tycho/Clavius/Moretus mosaic is my favourite... looks brilliant on a 30" monitor.

Simply spectacular vistas Dennis. They look great on a large monitor, and the resolution is just outstanding. Excellent work :)

Lovely work Dennis. I am gald to see this quality being produced. I really like hi res images of the moon. I have tried a few times to carry out a project such as this but have been foiled each time. My favourite would be the second image. I like the vista of the scene. The Apenninese is always really interesting to look at hi res. The last is very sharp, but I don't think as nice a view as the second image. I am putting a note in my diary for the next first quarter, your splendid images have reminded me of some imaging I need to undertake.

Hey Mike

It’s a bit unusual to see you in these brighter, more defined parts of the Forum– I had you down as a multi-hour, multi-session faint and fuzzy kind of guy!:):P

Cheers
