Here's a few happy snaps from this year's Snowy Ride http://snowyride.org.au/. I didn't take many photos this year, but here's a few.:)

The Snowy Ride raises money for the Steven Walter Foundation http://www.stevenwalterfoundation.org.au/ which provides funds for children's cancer research and treatment. They got it wrong though and gave the brand new Honda VFR1200 to someone else...

This year 3115 riders took part, and raised between $250,000 and $300,000 over the weekend.

I rode 1762kms over 4 days: there, back, the Snowy Ride on Saturday and a loop through Cabramurra and Khancoban for fun on Sunday:D. Nothing too heavy:).

1. A panorama of Blowering Dam on the way home after riding through THICK fog in the high country. Visibility <50m!
2. A shot of the mountains from Cabramurra.
3. A panorama from Charlotte Pass. Kosciusko is the LH bump:).
4. A pano of the Dalgety Bridge.
5. The elevation profile from my track.
6. Our trusty steeds at the Adaminaby checkpoint. We were the first 2 to check in;).
7. Our bikes grazing at Tom Groggin.
8. My track:).

Great fun!:)

What a great ride, - and a great result for the charity Al. Well done to the entire group for such a great contribution.

Hey, just on a side note, looking at your map. I never realised there were so many airports around the place. They're all over the place hey?

It's a great ride and a great cause Al.

I'm hoping to be on it next year.

Yeah, but not as many as private strips... they really are everywhere when you start looking at maps in detail.

It's well worth it Ric. Good fun. Its amazing how many people the facilities in the Snowies can handle easily!

Not at all Dave.:) I have an Air-Hawk seat and wear compression shorts on long ride days... no problems;).
