Thanks Steve.
I think I must have bumped the bishop while preparing for the shot and didn't notice.
It should have been on the black square ahead. Duh!
It was actually the white queen that made the checkmate.:rolleyes:

Considered this one for a split-second, but elected for a photograph of Black and White as opposed to a Black and White (monochrome) photo :D

Gary, that is a remarkable image. It truly captures the sombreness of the place and brings to mind the helplessness of those that suffered there. The use of such narrow depth of field with the background blurring to unrecognisable, is very fitting.

Steve, you are a master panographer. Love your work.

Don't worry Bartman,

I have been there as well and on entries that I held alot of hope for :shrug: I suppose it just shows we don't know the tastes of the voters as well as we thought :rofl:. I still find my photo's have improved heaps since entering this wonderful casual and fun comp.:thumbsup:
