Hi to all

It's been ages since I've produced an image, basically because of bad weather and equipment problems. I managed to do this one last night of the N70 superbubble in the LMC. It was 4 1/2 hours with the 3nm Ha filter and I think would have benefited with a lot more but you take what you can get. Hopefully colour will follow when the moon goes away.

Cheers

Steve

Very nice image Steve.

IMO monochrome Ha images stand out without the need of colour.

Thanks Steven. Yes monochrome images can look good but I'm still going to do colour though if possible.

That's great Steve, plenty of wispy detail there, reminds me of a research print from the good'ol photographic plate days

Probably better than most from back then too!

Thanks Mike. Yes - I noticed the resemblance to a photographic plate too.

Great image Steve. I've hunted this one mercilessly for visual observing, but it is just too faint for my scope even with dark skies. So it's great to see such a stunning photo.

Thanks Pat. It is a difficult object. I think I did glimpse it with a nebula filter once but it may have been averted imagination.

Thanks Ric. The write up isn't mine of course. I just copied it from somewhere on the web. It's not a well documented object unless you delve into the professional journals.
