Hi all, got this one last night with Moon up, and without the UHCs filter. This is 21 x 3 minute exposures with Takahashi F3.3 160mm Epsilon Astrograph and Canon Astro 40D at ISO 1600.
IMO a much better image than my last attempt with the UHCs filter. I am still working out which objects the UHCs filter is best for.

Here is one 3 minute exposure without any processing just to show what I began with.

Nice work! Handled the glow well without ripping out too much detail!

Thanks Ross and Paul for your comments as always. It did take a bit of processing to bring out the detail. All the best.

Very nice Lester. Amazing what the modified 40D can do!

Thanks Darrin. Yes the Astro 40D IMO does a great job, that at this stage is only limited by my processing skills, or lack of. All the best.
