This pic is from early 1985. A huge storm cloud came up from the south east just before sunset. Reached incredibly high and deep. I've never seen anything like it since.

Taken with a 28mm wide angle lens on Ektachrome slide film, scanned with my dodgy slide scanner.

The wet season provides endless opportunities to photograph intreresting cloud formations. This one was only a month or so ago.

G,day cobbers,

Here is my entry. Taken from Everest base camp in Tibet, October 2003. Sorry about the quality of my photo as it was taken on film (like all of my pre 2004 pics) and I don't have a scanner so I had to try and copy it with my digital camera.

These are some weird clouds that were over my house a few months ago. I quite liked the pattern they make :)

Thought I'd try a night shot. Had to have the moon present in order to see the clouds. Taken 11/3/06 10:30PM

Cant compete in the storm cloud category so heres one I took at home almost exactly a year ago.
I took the picture because it was the only cloud in the whole sky, somewhat different to today.

I can't compete against those storm shots! :eyepop:

So I'll try for something a little different.. I was going to do clouds of smoke from the jetvan on fire, but went for something more on topic.

This was taken on Griffith Island, down near Warnambool.

Since you guys have a lot of storm photos I thought I would submit this. It was taken last summer at Mackinac Bridge (which connects Michigan's lower and upper penninsulas.) It was sunset, Lake Michigan is on the left of the bridge, Lake Huron on the right. The point of view is facing north. While the sun was setting in the west a storm was moving in. The colored light on the clouds is from a break in the clouds miles away from over the lake, where the setting sun peaked through for a few seconds from horizon level. About a minute after I shot this the skies broke loose with pouring rain.

OKay change of picture, this one is the one I was originally going to show, dont know why I chose the other one, didnt really like it. This is an image of a Very severe thunderstorm near Lameroo near the SA/Vic border. I have always liked this one.

Sydney Observatory, waiting for the clouds to clear so we could take photos of the moon using one of their 10" LX200's.

This photo was taken with the good old traditional "film!" and scanned.
Canon EOS 300, with ISO 800 film, for around a minute.

Some New Zealand clouds. No where near as good as what has been posted so far, but thought I would make the effort.

I've reposted with something which is not an exact copy of a couple of entries before me. Hope the rules allow replacement this late. Taken on the Hawkesbury River at sunset two years ago.
