Hi Astro-liano's

These two Clouds also taken from Leyburn with 6/10 seeing with the 200mm 'L' lens, unmodded Dslr with light ICNR. I thought they came out quite well considering they being mot overly high in altertude & the sky was a bit washed out also ! Hoe Ive done them some justice with processing ?

1st Image ) The SMC embedded with Nebulae & Star Clusters! Also two Larger Globulers out side the SMC are 47Tuc or NGC 104 @ Mag 4 and
the Smaller Glob is NGC 362 @ Mag 6.6 !
Image details : 5 x 210secs; 1 x 60 secs; 1 x 30 secs. 200mm F/2.8 lens. Unguided on a HEQ5p Mount.

Image details : 5 x 180secs, 1 x 60sec. 200mm F/2.8 Unguided.

Great photos Bob.

The 200mm lens brings out such amazing detail and has a great FOV.

Nice to see a wide view, Bob. Those images came out very well. I have been poking around the SMC with a 1600mm focal length and your images give a nice context to the objects I'm imaging.

Cheers,
Rick.

Nice pair of images Bob. Minor nit picking though - the Tarantula is NGC 2070 and the colour of it is too blue/cyan although it does have a bit of blue in it.

Cheers

Thanx all for the kind comment.
I'm Looking forward to streaching the legs with this 200mm, 20-30 subs on something should be interesting

Totally agree Thanx Steve, Blues are a bit of a problem with Unmodded DSLR's, and I will hunt an Image to refer to and attempt apropriate adjustments ? Appreciate all Nit Picking, Cool
and 2070 ? is the start of middle aged pangs and mind slippage, Lol . .
Cheers !

1600mm views of the internals would be facinating, such amazing activity and detail in both clouds to be had, eh !

Awesome Bob! The 200mm is a really nice lense and I love mine. Very well presented too btw.
