Hi All,
Well after all the Gale force winds Cloud Etc. we finally had a clear night so tried out my Zenitar Wide Angle Lens, first time ive used it and getting the Focus spot-on is difficult, ill use DSLR-Focus next time, its a magic thing the Milky Way, even better than the Nebula, well sort of.

5 x 8 Min. Exp. at ISO800- Canon (Mod.) DF removed, guided.

Very nice Jim. Looks like a perfect opportunity for a mosaic. That lens looks like it does a good job. Little bit of CA and a bit of curvature but nothing that probably couldn't be dealt with.

Btw, where the heck did you get a clear night from?????

That's a great shot Jim.
The LMC stands out like a sore thumb....
And so does the Coalsack.
What size lens is the fisheye?

Man, do I love these photos of the Southern Milky Way! Quite a different perspective from what we see in the Northern Hemisphere. And the LMC.... well, the only way I can see that is through photos.

Great shot, Jim!

Thanks Jum, just found it in my junk mail - definitely didnt deserve that.

Surprising quality for that type of lens, I agree with RocketBoy the LMC really stands out.
