Another star trail. Decided to just go crazy with this star trail image from a few nights ago. There was a fair amount of wind and a few clouds about so I didn't get my telescope out, but I couldn't resist the dark skies. I more did this shoot for the timelapse video which I plan to put online soonish, which is why the ISO is so high. I wanted to capture as much of the Milky Way as possible. But of course, I then couldn't resist putting it all together into a single image. The high ISO brought out some weird star colours so I thought I would make the most of them and increase the saturation and vibrance of the colours in the image. Pretty happy with how it looks. I would love to know what you think of the effect.

Hi, Greg.
Awsome!!
Reminds me of a TV series called time tunnel in the late 60's early 70's.
I like your time lapse too.
Thanks,
Justin.

These are great Greg!
First one looks like it's some kind of time vortex happening. The second, your scope setup and the led trail looks as if some weird alien has just arrived..
Very well done!

Spun out trails!!!!:):)
Those colours do have an impact and what's even better is the elliptical effect on the inner part of the trails you've managed to capture:).

Very nice greg. You should give a talk on startrails at the club. I have never done one or even attempted one.
I often think about it but just never get around to it.

Thank you very much Wayne, Carl and Doug :D Yeah I should do that one night Doug. I know Peter wanted me to do another talk on constructing and using a barndoor tracker at some stage so I might be able to do both at the same time.
