Just wondering if a parcel should take this long via private courier (see file)
From Melbourne to Queensland,it was picked up 10th of October, and still has not arrived, its not a very heavy parcel about 3 Kg,4 inch diameter, and 1.2 metres long.It cost me $30 for the cartage. It still has not arrived, and has had more check ins and outs than Sir Richard Branson in the last two weeks.
Do you think it would look rude to contact the freight company, and say 'hey -this is a bit of a long wait, for something I paid a $30 fee on!".

Why not phone? The clerk at the other end will be used to dealing with problems, it's what keeps them employed.

Waited half an hour yesterday on the phone, only to be told it will get there one day, sounds like the 'horse and cart days'!

Sorry to hear it's taking so long Chris. Checking through the log, there appears to be a holdup at Brisbane airport.
For something that's posted 10 days ago, it sure took its time.
I had a couple of items from overseas shipped with long delays, (almost one month in one instance, but the seller wrote "laser pointer" (RDF) on the customs label and that triggered some panic at customs).
Good luck and let me know when you get the rods (and I will let you know when I get the bracket).
Cheers,
Bo
Sounds like it's being delivered by hand, and on foot as well.

is there any way you could track it? some courier companies offer a tracking number so you can find out where it is.
good luck, i hope it arrives soon!!

Yes-the main thrust of the thread was the Page I attached, its been in and out of 16 courier depot's in S.E QLD.
Its basically quite amusing (it a relative low cost item, non optical thank god). But I did Pay $30 for the freight which a fair bit for a item that only weighs 3 kg.I am going to contact the management and say its poor service and ask for a partial refund or vouchers of discount on next parcel, although I cannot see myself wanting to use this company again.
I 'll post an update-when it eventually arrives!

Never heard of Transdirect before so I'm not familiar with their tracking system, but that looks as if it has been delivered? Below it shows "Recipient" with "ERIC" underneath then the "Signature Image" with a big "E". Am I missing something?

The parcel finally arrived, after basically two weeks.Like M said seemed to be some sort of 'Parcel the Parcel' game in Brisbane-I've had words with their management-in no uncertain terms-I let them know how slack I though their service was,I am getting a refund on some of the $30 I paid-which is a lot of money for a parcel only weighing 3 kg's.The local courier that eventually got the parcel to me said,he was shocked at how much and how long it took.
I get parcels from H.K and it takes less than three days to the same country location in QLD.no wonder some many Australians shop online O.S.

Glad you got the rods chris. Hope they arrived ok and were the ones you are after. Terrible service, if you call it that. Just hope you get a chance to try them out soon.
Cheers,
Bo

Yeah-sure do need a fishing trip,Bo!.After the last couple of parcel episodes!
Anyhow, they did get here, which is a major achievement after the last couple of things I bought in buy and sell section, never appeared.
Thanks so much for packaging and pick up Bo-I was going to send a email to your work email on Monday as they only got here late Friday.
The rods were'nt quite as I had thought, but there was one good one-that's all I need!:),the others can be refurbished and smaller ones on sold.
Cheers Chris

10 - 12 days Brisbane to here at Snake Valley is fairly common for me. But that is with Australia Post.
My mother-in-law in Brisbane posts stuff to us regularly and 10-12 days is the normal waiting time.
And yet I get stuff from USA in 3 - 4 days.
It never makes sense.
