Shooting star - melbourne 18 OCT 2011 11:20PM

Just saw a really low shooting star while in the bacyard with my ED80, anyone else see it? I have a seen alot, but this has to be the biggest and lowest I have ever seen.

I am in altona and it was in the North East direction.

Didn't see it but it is always a Wow factor when a really big one comes past, I'm sure the experience will happen again for you, keep looking up.

Was spotted by an ASV member in Bright at 11:25pm.
Must have been a good one...

I think I saw the same one icycold, per James' post. I'm in NE Vic and saw it low in the NE - bright, long travel, slow, tail, spectacular! Travelled roughly parallel to the horizon. I would have put it around 11:25, give or take.
