Hello Everybody,

it's been a while not posting in this section, I do it now to show you a reprocessed image from my last Namibian astro-trip.
This is a section of the famous Gum nebula, which contains many different kind of objects.
I decided to reprocess it as I was not satisfied with it, especially with the colors. Now I feel more satisfied about it.
Comments and criticism always welcome as usual

Hi Nicola,

That's a great improvement. The new version is very nice! What did you use to process it?

Cheers,
Rick.

Thank you Rick!
I used DSS to calibrate and stack the frames.
Then I went into PixInsight LE and stretch the image.
Then I went into PS, where I rebalanced the colors, reduced the background noise, and decreased star's size.

That does look fantastic and I am always amazed at how a little more processing can bring out the best in an image. I thought the first one was great as well.

batema and Ross G, thanks a lot, I am glad you appreciate the effort to improve it.
I'm still struggling on a less invasive way to reduce DSLR pattern noise, though.
