Bathurst holden's RULEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE:thumbsup:
Garth Tander and Nick Percat
Brands mean nothing in such a generic formula. Drivers mean a lot more.
Craig cements himself as the greatest driver of the modern (lame 2 make series) era.
And..sob...yes it was a Holden win...shhh

It did get a sob out of you though:P:D
Damn your selective quoting Warren  I was just about to ask Clive why he needs 3 Holdens. 1 to pick up the kids from school and the other 2 as backup??

Go Holden

Just rebadged NASCARS, not a Holden or Ford amongst them and boring to watch to boot. Bring back the group C's and a bogon on the hill with a big rock, that would make it a lot more interesting :P.

Spoke to a very good mechanic who considers Ford these days are in fact better than Holden.

It is this time of year when a timeless old saying is most pertinent.
"Winners are grinners .. and the rest can please themselves."
What a finish !!!
Lowndes is surely headed for Brock status isnt he ... Probably a given considering his temprement, ability and Brock was his mentor.

As so rightly pointed out by Marki these are no more than Nascars and internally show little resemblance to the Holden's driven by your average man on the street :P;)
besides I'm a Toyota man for reliability

Who said the v8's are boring...Closest finish ever , 0.29 sec, Gee, Lowndsey, if only you had just one more lap!!!
Happy to see Russell Ingall got a top 10 (8th) considering the poor year he's had so far, in perhaps his final year, it was a nice bit of sugar for him. To have done it with the SON of the co-driver he won his 2 Bathursts with was pretty special. Dunno if I'll find the v8's as interesting once the Enforcer hangs up the helmet......

I did and they are :P. Wonder how the all ford and holden () pooper cars would fare against the latest cars from elsewhere. Whoops already tried that and they weren't even in the race. Its a class for bogans and really doesn't offer much to anyone else. Seems to be biased toward either ford or holden in different years as well. Keeps the bogs happy I suppose.

Can't let that through to the 'keeper without playing a shot.....;)
Okay, they're trying to even up the cars with all the regs (didn't Brocky win by 6 laps one year??), and it's always been a Ford vs Holden thing. Save the mid '80s (when the TWR Jags were on the prowl - and won in '85 on my 21st b/day....:D) When they tried the Euro cars into the '90s most people went away. Volvos, Sierras, BMW's.....
To me, it's the drivers and their styles, who cares about Ford v Holden, does nothing for me
Russ. Ingall has run Holdens and Fords, as has Lowndsey. They could make shopping trolley racing interesting....:P

Forget about the grill badges, this Bathurst was a huge driving skill spectacle. Rain & slicks, pits traffic jams and all.
As for most years the cream of the drivers are in the front group at the end of the race. Those last few laps were worth the wait. Was that PB behind Skaife knocking his knees?
The Supercar formula is working for the drivers, but without good quality support races, it would be boring for the mountain bogans!
Bring on Phillip Island, that will add some much needed diversity. I went there in '97 and saw Doohan bail out on the turn one at near 300 and then casually walk back to the pits - he had little to prove already World Champ with a record of season wins. At least I saw him for a couple of laps and have a coffee mug signed in person by him!
BTW booking with a bus ride from/to Town Hall made the day - quick exit and no traffic problems - bargain!
In that case Jen, the ABC usually has lawn bowls on a Saturday afternoon.:rofl::rofl:
:scared3:
:eyepop:
:doh::doh: thats even worse :poke:
