I just saw a spectacular image of this comet.
Is it viewable in the southern hemipsphere?
Greg.

The best chance you had was back in August...it's no longer visible in the southern hemisphere. If you go into the Heavens Above website and navigate the database to Australia-Sydney you will find Honda 45 in the Astronomy-Comets area and there is a hyperlink to a sky map.

Yeah, it's putting on a great show now! Our last views of it were affected first by moonlight, and then by light skies as it disappeared into twilight - who'd have known it would pop up again looking like that!
I managed a few pathetic, badly light-affected widefields that showed very little:

It is going away from us, and it will be at the other side of the Sun... so Canon will be useful for terrestrial objects only...
Right now it is in Leo (to the south of alpha Leonis), visible in the morning, just before sunrise on the horizon.
Elenin is also close...
Thank you for that Bojan.
Will be nice to catch a comet in the Northern Hemisphere. Wont have a scope/bins so hope Garradd brightenss a little more. :D

C/2009 P1 Garradd will be in Hercules in two weeks (visible in the evening above eastern horizon, and brightening a bit.. Good luck :-)
