Had a nice clear night in Canberra, and everything worked out quite nicely this time. The seeing was still only average, maybe 6/10, but I can't control that...

Here's a set of images, showing in particular the new orange oval BA. It was while last year, and so now Jupiter has 2 "red storms" :)

i like this shoot the best of your current batch, can't wait to chat, as yours and ice's look so dark on my lappie, but if i move my laptop screen away from straight on, say to 5 or 10 degrees, the image improves dramatically and that stand out so nicely!

do you process on a crt?

lcd screens are usually very bad for viewing images like these. I use an lcd screen on my main pc for processing but then I have to check & adjust them on another pc with a crt.

Good stuff Bird.

I'm glad one of us is getting some good images from Canberra. You should be getting some more decent captures this morning?

Had a look on the way to work this morning and it looked quite nice apart from some thin high cloud??

I'm stuck in a vicious pattern at the moment of not being able to do any imaging during the week and praying for good weekend weather which doesn't arrive:(

Let's hope the change of season proves a little kinder.

Gee, Venus looked good again this morning.

I agree - especially on a laptop. I do my processing on the laptop if i'm at home up to the point where I need to recombine the R/G/B. At least you can chug through the boring stuff without worrying too much what it looks like or what colour it is.

When I put the laptop in the docking station at work with the CRT, that's when I do my recombine and final adjustments.

Excellent image Anthony, especially given the conditions. Nothing wrong with sizing it down :) Still looks great. Heaps of detail.

Oh except it's rotating the wrong way :)

I'll have to start finishing my images on a CRT as well... constantly shocked at how dark my images appear when I view them on the CRT at work

Those are excellent Jupiter images Anthony. Each contains a plethora of detail and they are masterfully processed.

Cheers
