Several People have commented on the colour of my Moonlight focuser. The debate is wether you should pick a colour for your focuser or go with a 'Plain option. What are everybody's thoughts on this.
All the best

I thought I should add a pic for those that have never seen the options. Also if you have your own scope and want to send a picture of it with it's moonlight go ahead.

I've got a black SW12"dob, looking at a moonlite in the future. If there was a lighter green one I'd get that, but that dark green one is ug-ly. Red on the other had would look quite fetching.

Everyone goes for the red from what vie seen, howwwwever, gold to match the William scope I have would be hard to pass on.
Although if I asked the missus it'd be purple for sure.:help:
Have fun choosing.

I have bought the violet moonlite focuser for my RC8, and I think it appears striking when juxposed with the carbon fiber tube.
Cheers,
Trent

The red is really popular, It would seem that Australians are not so colour conservative as the Astronomers on another Astro site! (Their debate would affirm their preference for Black or plain metal finishes... )
I agree with Trent-Julie about the Carbon fibre RC and the Violet Moonlight, I like the red too so here's my RC with both.

Got a Blue one on my Meade 14" SCT to match the blue OTA
Got Red one on the 16" SCT (which has a white OTA)
No matter the colour, excellent product.
Maybe the reason the colored versions sell so well is because when you install a black one it may not be obvious to other people. In defence of the green model, it looks way better in the metal than it does in the pictures. But I prefer the black models because classic is always cool.

What colour and type of scope do you have? Reason I asked is that I posted a similar thread to this some time ago here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=58662&highlight=moonlite). It was for a SW 10" Black Diamond. The favourite colours recommended were red, then blue, then gold. For one reason or another I ordered the blue. It looked horrible on. I swapped it and went with the gold and it goes with the colour of the metallic flecks in the black diamond paint beautifully IMO. Photos here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=751850), but bit hard to tell at this distance. Up close, sexxxy.
