I am referring to Deep Space threads. Mike or mods may have the stats for this but there seems to be an increasing number of deep space threads. 12 months ago it was hardly touched by members. there seems to be something new or better or amazing every day now. Congrats DS imagers, about time the planetary imagers were given a run for their money:lol: .

I guess we have had more planetary imaging h0ughy because shooting through light to medium cloud helps to smooth out the image whereas we are more discerning in the conditions we shoot in

I agree h0ughy, and man are they flamin good! It makes me proud to be a southerner when i see the representation of aussies and kiwis imagers on the net, especially here - forget olympics and commonwealth games - bring on the imaging games!

"ha ha ha, i forgot how to laugh!" woody the cowboy from toy story!!!

mind you, planetary is a lot cheaper to do well. you can get away with so much with this whole stacking process. who cares if it moves during the imaging, just get a computer to move it back!!!

polar alignment, now that sounds scary!!

:fishing:  hooked a big one there  (need a better fishing emoticon me thinks)

Just jealous David. It's getting to the point where I'm almost forgetting what the night sky looks like. I don't do early morning very well so if I can't catch it around midnight I have to wait for later in the year :)

yes i see dennis and rob's great stuff and realise that yes, us jupiter nerds are up at 4am and watching the sun come up.

same here tho, weather is ****** crap (just seeing if both words will be deleted) prior to midnight, but get up at 4am and it is pleasant.

i really wanted one of your big boy cameras the other morning for a wide field of the milky way.

I hope to use daniel's 350d on the weekend for just this shot at around 4am.

Yes you need a great white shark getting snagged as an icon!!!
