"The Amazing Race"

Hey who's interested in the TV show "The Amazing Race"? I know Beren is :)

It starts again on Thursday, and this one was recorded in Australia! should be good fun. We usually have a pool running at work between about 5 of us, guessing who's gonna get eliminated that week. Adds a bit of excitement to the show :)

I think we missed a series though? I'm pretty sure Ch7 ripped us off one series because they wanted to show the Aussie one, probably at the same time as its shown in the US.

Anyway it's a great show, although some of the couples can be very disfunctional and frustrating..

It's on Thursday nights at 9:30pm on Channel 7.

I only used to watch this show because it was on before Stargate. Now Stargate is not on I forget when this show is on.

I really liked the ending of the last one. The winning guy and his wife got a taxi to the final destination. He could not afford to pay the taxi. Instead of going inside and claiming his million dollar price he found a way of paying the taxi driver first at the risk of someone else beating him. I thought this was really nice of him. He said "we can't go in until this guy is covered". Makes me glad he was the winner and not one of the other backstabbing people he was competing against.

I have watched most seasons and enjoyed them all.

brings out the real character of some americans - loud abnoxious, not trustworthy, exploitive......maybe thats why I like it. Must be a logistical nightmare to run this show.

The family edition would have been good, but i don't think chan 7 aired this one. :(

I generally like the series and we get into it at home.... brings out all of the contestants worst attributes :)

I am the only one that cant help but to sing "amazing race" to the tune of "amazing grace" when I look at the name?

I thought the family one was this one premiering Thurs night ? Anyway looking forward to it , last season was excellent :thumbsup: Survivor has been pushed back until the Commonwealth games are over so it should work out nicely :)

I've picked "Danielle and Dani" to get booted tonight.. that's if it's an elimination tonight.

The US premiered the other day with a 2-hour episode, but Ch7 (in their infinite wisdom) are only showing a 1-hr episode tonight..

Channel 7 are really annoying me lately. All they care about is Lost, Desperate Housewives and Dancing with the Stars.

Some interesting characters that fill the token sterotypes ;) the hippies are my early pick although the mother and daughter seemed allright {the daughter is hot}.
