Some more from BSG and Ha from home.

Here's another one I processed from BSG. Again shot with the same rig: QHY8/100mm lens. I also added an Ha version I did a couple of nights agao from home with my new QHY9 and a 200mm lens.

The widefield was 15x180s while the Ha was 25x300s at -20c.

The Ha was squeezed Thursday night just before the lovely week-end weather we're having right now in Sydney which was handy coz I did a lot of work on the new cam software install and testing indoors. :)

Thanks Ross. The Ha is 200mm fully open. The QHY9 sensor is small so it's forgiving, although you still can see aberrations.

The 100mm (color) was stopped down to 5.6 and it's a QHY8. Big sensor.

Nice work on both the Ha and rgb images Marc.
Like the colours you obtained.

I like what the QHY9 is going to do for you!
Still, I think your Ha could stand a bit of a tweak with curves (had a quick look in PS)... while it looks good, there's some nice nebulosity other than the Prawn area that could stand some extra contrast as they are a little flat. This would balance the whole image out really nicely.

Thanks mate. :thumbsup: I'm not at the end of the tunnel yet with this camera. :P Lots to figure out still including the dynamic range which is a bit restricted at the moment so I need to tweak gains and offsets and work out adequate exposure times to maximise the subs. But yeah it looks promising so far. Now I have all the drivers sorted out I 'd like to plonk it on the C11 at prime with the AO and see what happens.

Thanks Doug. :thumbsup: I have more that I haven't processed yet. Widefield is just set and shoot. You can walk away and let it do its thing. Very easy. You get loads of data because the subs are so short. Typically 5min max.
