For Sale: Skywatcher Black Diamond 10" Newtonian

$250.00 or best offer (Andrews has them listed for $599.00)

Pickup from Canberra or shipped @ buyer's expense.

Comes with the standard accessories:

50mm finder;
Tube rings;
Vixen style mounting plate; and
Dust caps etc.
Along with a few upgrades:

Flocked with Prostar (N.B. this secondary holder is not included, http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=67170);
Major update to stock springs, the rear cell now holds collimation VERY well (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=71468);
Added a fan to the rear of the scope; and
Upgraded GSO secondary mirror (bigger than stock, but minor chip on edge when I installed it, does not degrade image quality as you can see, if it bothers you grab another one, they are cheap).
Performs well on both planetary and deep sky. See the pics - taken with humble gear and in my early AP stage.

The price reflects the condition.

Ready to be mounted on your EQ6 (requires 3 x stock counter weights) or G11 with a suitable plate etc.

Could also make a nice-n-cheap dob project :0)

Reson for selling? I have another scope in mind.

I will also be off-loading my 3 x Catseye Collimation Tools in another sale. Stay tuned.

Pictures, as promised:

N.B. I had great difficulty taking a pic of the small chip on the secondary. It's difficult to pickup unless you really search for it.

The primary is has some dust etc, and what appear to be a few minor hairline scratches. Nothing unsightly and certainly won't affect performance.

I also forgot to mention that I flocked the focuser tube, apparently this helps as well. Should keep things nice and dark and contrasy.

I have added wing nuts to the secondary collimation screws. The stock ones are rubbish. This will be of great assistance.

You will see 2 x screws on the opposite side to the finder, this is where I mounted a cheap GSO laser finder, $20 or something. Having two finders made life easier. These screws / holes are ready to accept a standard Chinese finder holder.

What you see is what you get. Lots of aperture for these dollars.
