This image was taken over 2 nights (23rd and 24th Sept) for a total of around 4hr and 40 min of data using 53 subs.
Canon 550d @ iso800
ED80 and HEQ5Pro mount
Guided using a home made Finder Guider and a Phillips SPC900
Stacked in DSS and processed in CS3.
I didn't touch the colour at all. It a Lagoon, it's supposed to be blue. :P

The weather is warming up, and unfortunately, so is the cameras sensor. You can see the effects on the edges of the image.

This is a 100% crop.

Nice result JJ. IMO the blue Lagoon is the result of a standard DSLR.

I posted a shot like this the other day, being my very first real Astro photo via the telescope... I used a QHY8 and my shot was very pink. I guess this is to do with the filters in the DSLR? I love the Blue and the detail you have got.. Very Nice! JJ what telescope do you use? I would love to know your setup as I am still in the learning curve.. In fact I was afraid to post my picture in the fear of being pushed off my stool LOL

Nice one JJJ. You have picked up the OIII component very well. DSLR's seem to do this very well. Looks like the whole image could use a bit more exposure then the reds will shine through as well.

Very nice.

Probably is too blue but not overly so. As others have said there is a fair bit of O III around. Certainly nothing wrong with the resolution and detail which I think is pretty good.

that warmer weather certainly has kicked in - my sensor hit 33 degrees last night which is not good territory as you well know :sadeyes:

Damn this warmer weather. I couldn't stretch the image much at all before the artefacts would appear in the back ground.
I honestly thought at over 4.5hrs of data would allow me to do more. sigh....
But still, I got some nice detail within the neb. Gotta be happy with that.
Guess this is the last image from me for a while.
