Just played with my old M42 image from my DSI.
Abit of Photoshop adjustments, this is what i came with.

yes, nice work.

I think you will have a fun time with a smaller, less bright nebula. I was mezmarised last night by the beauty of the milky way and the central bulge. I will be interested how well the dsi goes with Lagoon and eagle etc
