Hi all,

Here are a few images of the light show that's occuring every evening during the Brisbane Festival. I think that the smoke haze which has been hanging over Brisbane for the last 2 days worked in my favour, as the light beams were extra bright. For those in Brisbane who haven't seen this show, it's worth a look. I think it finishes this Saturday evening.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice! Been wondering how it'd look with all the smoke/haze around at the moment. Reckon it looks great here, not too good for astro-imaging despite the clear skies, though :(

Thanks Troy. Yes, the only astro imaging worth doing at the moment is sunsets!

Hi Stephen

Wow – those are spectacular photos. I really like #2 in particular – the composition, colours, reflections and geometry really come together and make this one pop.:eyepop:

Thanks for sharing the spectacle, even though we are astronomers and should not encourage such flagrant abuse of our night skies!;)

Cheers

Beautiful... the smoke haze really does make those light beams pop (on top of your camera work)!

Thanks Liz!
I tried some more shots last night (as this show is on 2 or 3 times each evening), but without the smoke the light beams did not show up nearly as well.

Cheers,
Stephen
