I know that M31 is a subject on the edge of the impossible from your area (although I have seen a picture of RobF really beautiful). I would like to offer this exciting view of this area in this beautiful galaxy. This is the cloud of stars known as NGC206 and its open cluster, the largest of the local group.
I hope that this work will like you and i hope, in particular, it proves an interesting job to observe, even at full resolution:

Beautiful, Thank you for the view Leo.

Goodness, that's just amazing really Leo! I had no idea a part of M31 had been catalogued by Herchsel - thanks for pointing that out too. You've really drilled in deep for that one.
Have you seen Humayun's recent pic in the Deep Space section here?

Bellissima Leonardo! I totally agree with others here, when are you going to delight us with a high res mosaic? :)

Thank you all for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed these kind of images. These pictures are really stimulating for what concerns the sense of space we have around us.
I figured having to take 10 hours for each part of the mosaic to keep the same resolution ... would risk breaking the record of Gendler ;-))) and even more to take quite a nervous breakdown :-))) .
All the best,
Leo

How's that, stars resolved in another galaxy independent of our own.
Quite impressive.
