A quick 60min star trail set on 100ASA & f8...

Could be better, noise reduction was off but what can I say... Digital, I can do it again & again and see the results straight away. :)

You've also got the LMC too.

Which camera and lens did you use?
Another way is to take shorter exposures and stack them all, this will improve the sky background.

Edit: I just read your sig, I assume you used the 350D.
