Hi all,

Warning: Responses will vary depending on taste and latitude! :)

For me I always love the current season... and then something new comes along in a couple of months that makes me love that season more!

Seriously though, Autumn with its ideal views of Centaurus, Crux, Ara, Vela and Lupus. :)

Never get tired of Jupiter in spring/summer, although Orion and Saturn during the cooler months are up there.

Winter's good, as the nights are longer...but can get CCCOLLLDD:rain:

Summer's good - as long as it is not too hot -, but then there's the mozzies.......:mad2:

Probably summer, no dew and comfortable temps, and being Melbourne - vastly more clear skies than winter. But yeah the bloody bugs :mad2:

I love our northern Spring as it is galaxy season. Galaxies and galaxy clusters are my favourite objects to observe. I also like autumn here because the summer constellations (Cygnus, Sagittarius, Aquila, etc) are still around and the nights are longer.

Winter's too cold and summer nights are too light (I am at 50° North). That doesn't stop me observing - or trying to observe! - though.

Weather wise, definitely summer! It's cooling and refreshing being out there on a hot summer night, so give me heat and sweat, oh yes, yes!
As for the mozzies, jjj gave me a great tip which worked a treat for me last summer: observe with a fan and blast them away :D.

Constellation wise, right now is my favourite time of year because I get to see Scorpius and Sagittarius etc, the Southern Cross, and later in the night the the most beautiful story book in the sky of Taurus, Pleiades, Orion etc. Two seasons in one night, wow!

This time of year is my favourite.
Got the best of Winter and Summer happening up there.
Pegasus is taking his great leap across the Northern sky, M31, M45, Orion.
Earlier in the evening I get to watch Scorpius diving down to horizon.
The weather is mild, and the bugs aren't too bad.
Yep, I love Spring time.

Early Winter - no mosquitos and the eta Carina nebula is one of the few objects which look as good through my scope (due to light polution) as it does in images.

Summer when a large high pressure system is sitting directly over us as I can get higher magnifications.

I love Feb/March when you can go ouside and see:

Eta Carina
Tarantula Neb
Omega Centauri
47 Tuc
M42

All in the sky at the same time and if you get a really nice night they are all vis naked eye.
