Found these while doing some modifications on my ute today. I thought they looked good together on my old Akubra hat. Tearing up the floor in one's vehicle can turn up all manner of surprises!

For a minute there Baz when I read the title, I was thinking you may have come across a 1930 version!!!:eyepop:
Mind you though if that 1949 was proof it would be still be around $65,000
BTW, it has a very "back long ago" character about the image (copper-ish) and I quite like this!!

This thread reminded me of my 1946 Australian Shilling that is my lucky Shilling as I got it in some change at my first ever game of Pennants in lawnbowls we went on to win the season so I have kept this since then.

That shilling would be worth a bit, just noted it was minted in a the same year as other good vintage "objects" ;)
