Hi all
This object is only a field or so away from part of the Gum Nebula, in Vela.
It looked okay on the DSS images I retrived using Star Atlas pro software.

Its 3x10 mins ISO 400, Modded 350D , 10 inch F5.6 newt and Baader UHCS filter, MPCC. Some traces of high cloud present and warm conditions. In camera N/r off, used Iris to subtract average of 2 dark frames I took later on and also to process the image fully, finally taking a full res. crop with Paintshop Pro and cleaning up the odd hot pixel remaining, for showing here.

Ive included finder sharts from Star Atlas pro for its location.
I just love seeing how these faint fuzzies look in colour :)

How can you do that, you are a astro-bloodhound Scott. Nice detail, was it hard to extract from the raw files?

Thanks Dave
After doing the dark subtraction thing in Iris and theen stacking them, I just used the 2 sliders to bring up the faint stuff, it didnt look much on the camera I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it came out.
