Hi All up late for Saturn and up late early for Jupiter... and hot on the heels of yesterdays jupiter morning I'm knackered. Can't be bothered with 2 separate threads so here they are both for your viewing enjoyment ;).

Thin cloud the whole time to make for frustrating imaging and to play havoc with registax quality sorting. Seeing wasn't bad, maybe as high as 7 out of 10, but the cloud dropped trasparency so much I had to use heaps of gain - always a bit harder to find focus under these conditions. Collimation was spot on though :)

The first Saturn was with the 4x powermate the other Saturn and Jupiters with the 2.5x

cheers,

Nice!

The 4X Saturn is my favorite out of the two. I'll have to go with the 658 framer for Jupiter. Those damn onion rings are hard to escape aren't they?:mad2:

Well done mate! :)

Thanks Guys.. actually coming back and looking again I'm pretty pleased now with the 658 frame Jupiter... it's probably my second best run so far.:)

Yes Robin the Neximage uses exactly the same SOny HAD CCD chip as the Toucam and can take all the same mods etc. They're a nice package with the 1.25in barrel and software included.

cheers,
