Hi Arthur,
I have intent, and am working on resolving conflicts.
My mum's 80th Birthday on 24th October, and then my parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary on 2nd November. And I suspect we have a planned party on the middle weekend, right in the middle of IISAC. :confused2:

And I was so looking forward to IISAC his year, especially with JJJ coming as an adopted Pony Clubber.

All is well ! We had bold intentions of making a bunch of start parties this year and none of the dates have worked very well (stupid school terms) ... We are however heading up to Heathcote nearly Melb for the weekend this month, and then going on a 7 day adventures across Victoria staying of course in the darkest places we can find... The toy collection is slowly maturing too, but that is a topic for another day... Still very keen to aim for a location half way between syd and melb for a get together !

Do we take it that u r going Deeno?

Will see if anyone wants to meet at the twin servos on the thursday morning and travel together a bit closer to the date.

Really sorry everyone. ( Thanks for the " young man " bit there Deeno).

Money is very tight and work is very slow, so I'll need to work while its available.
I am also having a long weekend away camping 2 weeks before it so I just cant take more time off.

I am really trying to introduce my Wife to camping for future weekends away, so I am taking her away with some friends at this time to make sure she enjoys it and wants to come away at other times.
I know all of you will miss the sound of my coffee grinder whirring away.
Not to mention my Rum induced mutterings....:P

See you all at another time for sure.

Yeah Mr Owl, we are going to miss your attendance this year being the last for two years.:( A long time between drinks at IISAC!
Also Mr Kombi can't make it, maybe next time he said.:(

Sounds good Allan. See you there.

Don't worry about the guitar Arthur, I might bring my own. Thanks anyway mate.

Yes 0900 at the twin servos sounds good with a departure at 0930 sounds excellent (time for a Mocca yes)

Sorry to hear your going AWOL MR OWL: (you will of course need an excuse letter from a responsible adult to justify your absence :)
you will be missed, great to hear your coming Geoff, long time since i caught up with you (Have caught up with Judith @ work).

Now we possibly need to all chip in and pay some graft to 7timer to get it to change it's predictions! they look terrible!

If it is pouring on Thursday morning it will delay my departure from home. My mobile no is 0411438858, i will leave a message on this forum also

Looks to be overcast thursday morning, but no rain.
Actually looks encouraging for clear viewing Thursday night too.

Ill be there at 9:00am too. Looking forward to it, guitar is packed.
I figured if I plan something I really want to do if its raining, that will keep the clouds away haha.

From a newbie - where are these "twin servos"?

Allan_L
26-10-2011, 07:54 PM
Hi Eric,

The twin Caltex Servos are on either side of the F3, just north of Wyong.
We will meet there tomorrow (Thursday) morning (at the Maccas in the Northbound servo) and travel together(ish) up to Lostock.
Usual convoy custom is to chat on the way, on UHF channel 8 (apologies to everyone using that channel on our route).

An advantage is that we all arrive together and can pitch camp in close proximity. Also good for first timers who may be unsure of the way.

As I think you will be arriving a day after us, I don't see much point in you stopping there, unless you need Petrol, a break, or similar.
We generally camp on the lower parking area on the left past the second Scout building.

I'll be in a white Mercedes Sprinter van AR31AX. Same one I had when I visited you in Melbourne. Hope to catch up with you.
