Hi All

A quick image of the new sunspot (no number as yet on spaceweather). It looks like a strong depression in the image.

That's a pretty large spot. Might produce some good flaring. Most likely it is 1263 coming back around again. Most likely will be designated 1289 based on current numbers.

Hi yes it is quite big
its raining here in Sydney so I've missed an early opportunity for 1283 just when it was flaring and another look at 1289 - bugger - yes Paul you got it right space weather reports it as 1289!
