Oh I don't know
I think he is just trying to read the instructions. It would be easier if he turned the page over.

I think that you fellows have all missed the point here. It's a BAT scope. It works in ways we everyday citizens could never understand. The little knobby doovalacky at the top that looks like a flood light bulb is the actual sensor.

Sheesh!

If I remember correctly some years ago there was a similar pic posted here but from Lost In Space. Dr Smith & Wil Robinson had an almost identical scope set up, probably a Hollywood prop from the era.

NASA had a similar image on a banner on one of their kids pages.
I remember posting a link to it here a few years ago.
LOL I sent them an email about it, but not sure how long it took them to remove it.

Geez you are quick Chris! No wonder they were Lost In Space.
Now all we need is one from Gilligans Island and the Beverley Hillbillies and that wraps up my favourite US shows from the era.

The lights are on, the Newt is the wrong way around and the lens covers are on the other. I've know idea what Batmans looking at or why he is smiling but you can't see what he's doing with his right hand

1) Robin is left handed. So the picture has been flipped horizontally.
2) Robin is trying to find out why he is such a big knob.
Kapow! I see it Batman. It's right between my legs!
3) I can see Dark Matter Batman!

C'mon now, any Newt. owner knows you store them upside down to stop geting dust on the mirror.

He also is only performing as collimation using the instructions....isnt he ?

Well done on finding those images everyone. what a great find.
