FOR SALE - CELESTRON C8 ORANGE TUBE SYSTEM - SOLD
C8 OTA complete with fork mount & steel tripod
Circa late 1970's
Unit has bracket for 50mm finderscope
Finderscope is missing from supply - a brand new unit is available by request if you like - extra $ 88
System is dual axis motorised 240V - Power cable is supplied - but a connection between the 2 pin power cable and the 2 pin telescope connection is required (a visit to Radio Parts or alternate)
Supply includes new diagonal
Supply includes new 25mm and 10mm eyepiece
System has just been cleaned & serviced
Primary mirror has minor marks from excess moisture, which do not affect performance - please see image
Excess moisture has been removed from the system
Seconday mirror is in good condition
Corrector plate is also in good condition
Optics have been cleaned and tested Ok
System works quite capably, and performance is typical of an Orange tube C8 of this period
