Hi All,

Imaged Saturn just after Sunset last night, due to a computer problem missed the best seeing (which was pretty good for the alt) but still have a very interesting "R" channel that I have heavily processed to hi-light a couple of white spots within the storm band.

Imaged Jupiter this morning, my first data set was in fair conditions but it went down hill from there.

Have attached links to RGB & 807nm IR animations, the RGB in particular demonstrates how the seeing deteriorated.

Thanks for looking.

Good going Trevor - We are all hoping that you will get some really good seeing to really demonstrate the new scope. Regards Ray

Some very fine detail comming into view on Jupiter. Looking forward also, to when you get some 8/10s as Jupiter gets closer. All the best.

Thanks for the view Trevor. The IR seems to cut through the conditions better.

Thanks Ray, yes, I certainly look forward with great anticipation to imaging with "FRED" in good seeing, it would be great to look at the live feed without any flutter for a change. I am sure things will turn around but in the mean time I am happy to deal with whatever is dished up.

Thanks very much Rob.

Thanks very much Justin.

Thanks very much Lester, the IR really was a saviour for this session and still resolved some nice detail even in less than ideal conditions.

Thanks very much Graeme.

Thanks very much Michaell, the IR certainly work well in conditions like this.
