G'day all,

A stitch of two frames, M16 & M17.

I'm quite happy with it, but unfortunately the M16 frame is slightly out of focus compared to the sharp M17. I didn't notice it on the night because I was taking the M16 while having dinner so it was a little rushed in comparison. I like having the two objects connected like this.

I am wondering if people might say it has a red cast. I've tried various adjustments but have settled on this as-is. The area is prone to a golden-red colour due to the mass of milky way stars, so if it's off then I don't think it's drastically off, but could be proved wrong. All quite subjective :)

Full image is 5700 pixelswide and looks quite nice showing reasonable detail in the nebulas :)

That's a great image, very nice composition. M17 is really bright. I have often mistaken it for M16 when sweeping the area visually.

That's very good Roger.

Widefield mosaics are a great type of image.

Looking good Roger, real good. I don't mind the colours you've presented. Its not easy getting the rich golden hue of the star clouds to come through. You should be happy with that image. Well done.

Thanks :) I have to admit I don't remember clearly what M16 looks like visually. M17 I do, it's quite a stand out.

Thanks :)

Mosaics are great... just have to dedicate the time to them :)

Thanks Jase, much appreciate you taking the time to provide your thoughts on the colour.
