Imaged from my suburban backyard lat night. Directly facing the lights of Adelaide due north, the light pollution is so bad I didn't think it worth trying for RGB.

The little asterism between the comet and M71 looks like a mini version of the arrow shape of Sagitta.

I registered the stars, so there's some movement visible in the comet between frames.

Very good.

It looks like Garradd will be going near the Dumbell soon.

Greg.

Thanks Paul & Greg. Greg, I like your neat trick combining a star registration image with a comet registered one. When you do that do you guide on a star or the comet?

Not really... it's not getting any closer than it is now, in fact it is moving away. Where it IS going is the Coat Hanger next weekend.

Hope the weather has settled by then.

Cheers

Great image. It's nice to see these conjunctions between the comet and various deep sky objects.
