More of an experiment of location, I took this lastnight to see if the location was suitable. On the way home I found another location but batteries died so I coudn't do a complete trail...

It's got potential.
I think you need some moonlight to illuminate the windmill.

Nice one Andrew. I like these type of shots.
That's a beauty Andrew
It's a good job there wasn't a breeze otherwise a blurred windmill would not have had the same effect.

Thanks for the comments, the windmill wasn't painted in light because it was a request from my Mum, so the only light on it was from a passing car. I found another windmill up the road so I will use that one for the next one. Looks better IMO.

I /adore/ this, Andrew. People might think it's noisy and grainy, or whatever. I think it stands by itself as a beautiful work of art.

Thanks H, does have an appeal to it, Something I like also...
I too enjoy these shots, and have looked for the perfect location, as your self, many times, with occasional success.
However may I suggest without sounding to critical, that you frame it a bit differently and have the windmill a little bigger in the foreground and square on, there seems to be a bit of a lean to your posted image.

I agree leon, it does look a little like the leaning Windmill of Piza, I had the camera low on the tripod so I could get the SCP in. I will try a different frame for sure. Thanks for the comments.
