I've always likely this object -- its contrasting HII regions, dark nebulae, etc -- but I have not been able to image it. I had a chance the other night. I've stretched the data to bring out the fainter dust in the dark nebulae. This gives the overall region a hazy appearance.

Love the haze, that wave crest in the middle gives the image some 3d depth too - very nice.

Beautiful images both but I prefer the OSC FSQ image. Its a bit widerfield and stars are tighter.

Nice work Tom, another image I have seen today with such a huge range of colour and tone. Very enjoyable to view.

Whilst it's some very nice eye candy, As far as dust goes i do prefer the ones set against a darker backdrop where the dust stands out more.

Still a lovely image nonetheless, with lots of interest and color throughout.

Stunning work Tom. Most impressed by the subtle reflection nebulae. Provides a striking contrast against the emission neb. Well done.

Great work, the colors are stunning! And the faint dust details, wow!
You worked with two different telescopes, great effort but it was it worth.

Stunning as usual Tom. They are both extremely picturesque but I think the FSQ version does the most for me.

What a variety in that area. It's a really beautiful image, I like the hazy appearance.
