Hi all, Although the wind was causing some atmospheric turbulance last night I had a go at this planetary near the Dumbell. It is in the constellation of Delphinus, size 1.2' and magnitude 11.1 . In 40mm eyepiece it had a elongated appearance. This is only 6 x 5 minute exposures at ISO 1600 with Astro 40D and LX200 14" at F10 .

Nice capture Lester.
I remember back in 2002, when I first got my 12" LX200GPS, looking at everything in Delphinus that appeared in the Herald Bobroff Atlas, being my first GOTO scope since returning to the hobby after a 10 year digression, it was an amazing experience zooming around from one thing to another - so thanks fr the memories

Did a star reduction on this one and lightened the back ground a tad to help bring out the extentions of the planetary nebula.

Thanks John and Scott for your replies. All the best.
Excellent Lester. Given the 3.5m in focal length and the constant struggle of seeing, I thoroughly enjoyed what you've presented here. Keep them coming please. Well done.

Thanks Trevor, Louie and Ross for your comments. At last I am getting good results with the 14" right across the FOV, so looking forward to the next clear, dark night. All the best.
