Hi all
Did another trapezium shot this time better focus. Its very hard to guide accurately when focus and seeing is so sharp the tiniest errors show. Anyways Ive just managed to get the 2 fainter trapezium stars.
3x 10 sec ISO 200, uhcs filter used. M42 overhead, just before dark.

Thanks.
The tolerance is fairly small for exposure, too little and the 2 faint stars are missed, too much and they are overwhelmed.

Thanks all
Hard to say wether an IR/UV filter would help, will try it when I get mine. Also interesting to see what the result is if no filter at all used (had the UHCS filter on at the time)

not bad, I tried this the other night with eyepeice projection, ended up with nothing so I gave up.
I did come across a realy good image of the trap the other day

Gee those SCT scopes must have really good optics, and of course the mount must be really good as well :)

Nice work, mate. Tight focusing!
vash, that has got to be one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen. It is so majestic. I'm in awe.
