This is my latest Ap effort with a 12" goto Dob

Only around 20 mins of subs as my netbook ran out out battery ( thanks to the missus for not charging !!)

If its clear I will be taking a whole lot more subs tonight and having another go

25 Sec Subs @ ISO 400

Wow nice effort Stu. I didnt know it was possible to do this sort of imaging with a dob mount. I am going to try this out as soon as i can get out there. Was this taken at prime focus? Thanks for the inspiration.:thanx:

Thanks for all the comments guys.
I titled such that it might provoke a little more interest !!!

Matt, Astro imaging certainly is possible with a Dob, but the Goto or at least tracking capability is a must.

Check my other posts to see what other things I have managed to capture.
They will never win any awards, but for an AZ mount, and someone who just wants to play, i think it delivers great results

Thanks for the advice Stu and Ill certainly check out your other photos. I have a SW 14 synscan and a Cannon 500D so should be able to get some results and finally placate the friends and relatives who keep asking me for photos.
