Finally after months of clouds, rain, and intense jet stream, I finally set up my imaging stuff last night thinking I'd have a go at Vesta.

I think I finally found it about 11pm directly overhead in Capricorn, but it seemed so small through the 11" at about 230x that I didn't bother in the end.

Apart from NASA, has anyone ever imaged Vesta to get details out of it or is it just too small and far away to get any true result from earth leaving people to do the wide field 'there it is shots' instead?

If I did find it, it did look like a small orangey point.
