View Full Version here: : Tumbling satellite @ M57

Hi all, I got a few hours of 5 minute exposures of M57 last night and one frame caught this tumbling satellite. Due to the FOV of the 14" at F10 being less than half a degree it must have been rotating quickly, or of a very hight altitude IMO. I have seen naked eye rotating satellites, but never like this through the eyepiece.

Thanks Louie and Ron for your replies.
Here are 13 x 5 minute exposures, (without the satellite) stacked and processed in Photoshop.
The galaxy shows up a bit better.

That's nicely captured, and the galaxy adds an interesting touch.
This is one of my favourite planetaries, but unfortunately I have trees in the way to the north so I haven't seen it through the scope for many years. Thanks for the view :)
