...ah yes, those were the days.... :P

They even thought it crazy enough to put to print in US Astronomy magazine (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/117344248/original)

So, I'm officially weird :nerd:

About all I can lift these days are peoples spirits :P

I was going to refute that claim till I looked at it and saw it is our very own "Strongmanmike". Of course it is the worlds strongest astronomer (2002). I still have a large poster he gave me a few years ago.

Michael,

How much weight was there doing dead lift? And did you lift it from the floor on that pic or from the pins?

cheers

That's not me in that picture but rather a guy on that forum showing what he used to do  he is doing a lockout deadlift (lifting the bar a few inches off elevated support bars) with what he is suggesting is 1008lbs or 458kg which IS impressive.

As part of my maximal hip strength and grip training I used to do similar movements as part of my strongman training but with significantly more weight...but we wont tell him that  ;)

Yeh, mowed the lawn only last weekend and had to roll the suckers out of the way to mow under them...maaaan, I seriously can't believe I used to hurl them around...I am getting old...very old
