Hello everyone.

A nice GC taken a few months ago when the sky was clear.

Messier 22 is an elliptical globular cluster in the constellation of Sagittarius. This object is surounded by a range of large young hot stars and old ones varying in luminosity on the HR scale (Hertzsprung-Russell). M22 is one of the nearer globular clusters to Earth at a distance of about 10,600 light-years.

Good capture Paul. I think jpeg artefacts are killing the image though. Perhaps resize the image to reduce the file size before posting. M22 is a great target. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot Paul...M22 is a favorite imaging wise, and a visual treat from a dark site as well.

Hi Paul,
yes, this region is one of my favorites in a wide field like this, and the jpg artifacts take away from a very nice image, would love to see it compressed less.

Yes Jpegs tend to ruin an image.

I have uploaded a larger file, with I hope, less compression.

Regards Paul. :)

Great field  - shame about the compression though.
