My first try at the moon, 8 images stacked with registax, i still need to play with it a bit more as it's too sharp but it was 3 in the morning and was tired.

Aha....processing with tired eyes. That will do it every time.
Yes, back off on the sharpening and you're going to have a fine image.
You've got lots of lovely detail happening there. :D

Good start there! Back off the sharpening a little and let the image speak for itself.

Great start Paula. Have another go with not so tired eyes, and you'll have a ripper of an image!
